It’s learned that Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor-Johnson reunites with Matthew Vaughn for the third Kingsman, which is a prequel to the first two films.

Gemma Arterton (James Bond) also joins the Kingsman prequel along with Matthew Goode (Watchmen), Tom Hollander (Bohemian Rhapsody), Rhys Ifans(The Amazing Spider-Man), Daniel Brühl (Captain America: Civil War), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), Harris Dickinson (FX’s Trust), Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter), Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain Marvel) and Alison Steadman (Orphan Black).

The movie is being filmed in London, and per creator Mark Millar, is not exactly “Kingsman 3” as it will not feature Taron Egerton as the flick is set in the past.

“People seem awfully confused by this. The Kingsman movie Matthew is shooting in the New Year is a prequel set at the beginning of the organisation in 1918 as reported a while back. Kingsman 3 comes later,” Millar posted on Twitter last November.

Details for the prequel are said to include that Harris Dickinson will play Conrad, a cocky yet charming young hero who’s eager to serve his country and fight in World War I. The prequel is said to be more of a period drama than a spy thriller with the story centering around “the man who would be Kingsman.”

So in addition to the Kingsman prequel, plans are underway for Kingsman 3 and also TV series, as well as a film about the Statesman, the American version of the spy network.
