Marvel Studios has yet to reveal the official title for The Avengers 4, but the Russo brothers happened to appear in a video at this weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con for their new SYFY series Deadly Class and had a little fun with the fans.
They told the fans that they are sorry they couldn’t make the SDCC because they are working on a little movie titled “Avengers–BEEP!“
The last part was cut off by a loud sound of a beep; however, the Russo’s never actually said the name of the title, as they were just having some fun and didn’t mouth the words.
Regarding The Avengers 4 title, I exclusively revealed it to be “Avengers: Endgame” prior to the release of Infinity War, which saw Doctor Strange make mention of it.
I was told the info from a family friend by someone who worked on multiple Marvel movies including Avengers 4 (a little more info than I previously provided). I do know the person’s job and title, but obviously I won’t reveal it as not to get the person in any trouble (and no, I won’t be releasing specific spoilers from the film).
That said, a cinematagrapher working on the films did update his resume (see below) with “Avengers: End Game,” but quickly changed it to “Avengers 4.”
What remains to be seen is if Marvel Studios will keep the “Avengers: Endgame” title following my leak. Zoe Saldana did at one time let it slip that it might be called “Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet,” but apparently Marvel nixed the title as a result of her mistake.
As I previously said, I feel “Avengers: Endgame” is a good title for the movie as it has multipe meanings (Avengers end game, Thanos’ end game, etc.), but I’ve also said Marvel’s true end game is what comes next.
Joe Russo also stated that he thinks Avengers 4 is better than Infinity War.
The Avengers 4 has a May 3, 2019 release.
