The Walking Dead continues to dig its own grave as Sunday’s latest episode has tied a series low.
While overall the ratings were high for cable TV, Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead were the lowest since Season 2–more than five years ago.
The Walking Dead received a 4.0 rating among adults 18-49, the lowest since March 11, 2012, with 8.923 million viewers tuning in.
Regarding why the ratings are lower, it could be a result of the World Series going on, which has been probably the best World Series ever, and also probably due to The Walking Dead just being so bland: nothing is happening.
The Negan story needs to end, and they need to refocus the series on a smaller group of characters who are not settled down and make the zombies matter.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9pm EST on AMC.
