Wonder Woman has legs!
While we already knew that (wink! wink!), Wonder Woman continues to score at the box office as it nets the second best all-time Tuesday opening in June with $14.4 million, which is shy of Jurassic World‘s $24.3 million.
The Tuesday number for Wonder Woman is also 23% higher than Monday’s gross, which also gave Wonder Woman the fourth best Monday. Deadline also notes, in terms of DC super hero movies, Wonder Woman ranks third behind The Dark Knight ($20.9M) and The Dark Knight Rises ($17.8M) for Tuesday.
Wonder Woman is also the best Tuesday opening for any of the DCEU movies beating out the likes of Suicide Squad ($14.26M), Batman v Superman ($12.18M) and Man of Steel ($11.51M).
Wonder Woman is also expected to be the #1 at the box office for a second week in a row, besting The Mummy, with estimates ranging from $50-65 million.
As we previously reported, Wonder Woman 2 is in the works with Patty Jenkins likely to return as director starring Gal Gadot.
Wonder Woman has a current domestic box office draw of $129.4 million.
