Jason Momoa recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel where Aquaman was discussed.
Interestingly enough, Jason Momoa lets it be known he was cast as Aquaman five years ago.
"It was like four or five years," Jason Momoa responded when Jimmy Kimmel asked how long he had to keep it quiet. "That long. Because they just wanted it to be a secret."

"Aquaman" has an October 5, 2018 release directed by James Wan starring Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Wilem Dafoe as the Atlantean Nuidis Vulko, with Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master.
