Stan Lee has received the following reward from Disney for 75 years of working for Marvel with a one-of-a-kind bronze statue of Spider-Man and Mickey Mouse.
Stan Lee posted the following image on Facebook of Disney CEO Bob Iger giving him the Spider-Man and Mickey Mouse statue.
Stan “The Man” Lee began creating comic books in 1939 with Timely Comics which would eventually become Marvel Comics. Stan Lee is known for a plethora of Marvel Comics characters including Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, the Avengers, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, X-Men, Inhumans, Silver Surfer, Galactus, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Wasp and more.
Stan Lee also continues to develop original characters under his POW! Entertainment brand and is regularly involved with Marvel movies, with his latest cameo featured in Doctor Strange. Stan Lee has also filmed three more yet-to-be-seen Marvel movie cameos, which were directed by Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn.
I had the pleasure of first meeting Stan Lee back at the 2011 NYCC interviewing him for a graphic novel project, and I also recently met and got a photo taken with Stan Lee at this year’s New York Comic-Con. If you ever get the chance to meet or see Stan Lee in person, you are in for a real treat as Stan Lee is a master (to say the least!).
Congrats, Stan!
