Marvel’s Doctor Strange keeps going strong at the box office as it’s learned the film starring Benedict Cumberbatch has retained the #1 spot for the second week in a row.
Doctor Strange will net around $40 million, which puts in in first place this weekend ahead of Trolls and Arrival.
To date, Doctor Strange has a U.S. gross of around $125 million, with a foreign gross of $241 million, giving Doctor Strange an estimated worldwide box office gross of around $366 million.
The $40 million weekend gross for Doctor Strange would also put it ahead of Thor 2’s second weekend of $36 million and Ant-Man‘s 25 million.
“Doctor Strange” is directed by Scott Derrickson starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Mads Mikkelsen.
