What a freakin’ farce!
Bleeding Cool announces that the July issue for Ultimate Spider-Man #160 will come polybagged – just as Fantastic Four #587 was – to protect the ending from being spoiled.
You gotta be kidding me, lol.
Marvel released the info for the death of the Human Torch before the issue even went on sale to the press – who in turn – spoiled it for everyone.
Well, Marvel Comics Senior Vice President of Sales, David Gabriel, did state the “Death of Spider-Man” would have the most press ever for Marvel — maybe it will be news that no one bought it.
I would actually love to see comic book retailers get together and pass on this – as this kinda “promotion” drove me away from comics in the mid-90s — and many others.
