Top 10 Comic Books For March 2015

Diamond released their sales chart for March 2015 where, to no surprise, the new Star Wars comics dominate the charts.

Marvel’s Princess Leia took the #1 spot overall, with three more Star Wars comics landing in the top ten, which gave Marvel nine out of ten spots for the month.

DC’s mainstay, Batman by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, didn’t have an issue published in March, but the Batman: Arkham Knight #1 comic manages to squeak in ##9.

We see the Guardians of the Galaxy movie is still in effect as both Guardians Team-Up #1 and Howard The Duck #1 hit the top ten; however, we are guessing that similar to the other Guardian tie-in titles, the issues will quickly fall in sales due to no longer being a first issue and having a gazillion variant covers. Marvel already cancelled most of the GOTG (in name only) titles for Secret Wars. It’s a shame new readers never got a chance to read the comic that inspired the near billion dollar movie as Marvel chose to instead go with a parody version of the Guardians where they murder people over the use of toilets and joke about playing with their penises.  I doubt we’ll ever see that from Marvel with Star Wars (and you can thank LucasFilm for that).
