Steven Moffat Retires Daleks For Only Season 6!

pic If you haven’t heard, the head writer of Doctor Who, Steven Moffat, mentioned there won’t be any more Daleks – because the Doctor has beaten them over 400 times.

Well, this didn’t sit well with Who fans!

A story posted by the BBC News even mentions one fan in particular, who also creates Daleks of his own, stating the real reason the Daleks were retired was because the new Daleks resemble Teletubbies! You remember Dipsy, Laa-Laa, Po, and Tinky Winky!

Ahhhh!

The fan mentions the colorful Daleks haven’t been a big hit with the fans, and theorizes that’s the real reason for Who putting them on the back-burner.

However, Steven Moffat has taken to twitter to calm us all down!

Daleks: I was talking about THIS series. Stand down.

As I take it, the UK uses “series” while we (or at least me) uses “season.” I think that’s right.

So there ya have it, straight from Mr. Moffat himself. Judging from his comments about the Doc beating them over 400 times, is it safe to assume the Daleks will score yet another victory?

When it comes to Doctor Who – never assume anything!
