If you watched last nightâs premiere of Marvelâs Agents of SHIELD you may have noticed a few references to the Marvel movies namely with mention of Sokovia from Avengers 2 and the reference to Ant-Man; however, the Marvel movies have yet to return the favor.
According to Kevin Feige, that looks to be changing as he states the movies will reference the TV shows at some point and says itâs âinevitable.â
âI think thatâs inevitable at some point as weâre plotting the movies going forward and theyâre doing the shows,â Feige explained during the Avengers 2 Blu-Ray event held yesterday, reports IGN.
Feige did go on to note itâs difficult for the movies to sync up with the TV shows as the various Marvel TV series have different schedules.
âItâs easier for them. Theyâre more nimble and faster and produce things quicker than we do, which is one of the main reasons you see the repercussions of Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron in the show,â Feige said. âGoing forward and certainly as they begin to do more shows and cast them with such great actors as they have â particularly Daredevil â that that may occur. A lot of it is by the time we start doing a movie, theyâd be midway through a season; by the time it comes out theyâd be done with the second, starting the third season. Finding timing on that is not always easy.â
