The Walking Dead Easter Egg We Missed: Hello Lee And Clementine

Last night’s Season 4 premiere of The Walking Dead debuted to record ratings featuring an all-new theat.

That’s not all that was new as there happened to be a reference to the best-selling video game from TellTale games with The Walking Dead – Season 1.

The game happens to take place around the city of Macon, which was mentioned twice in last night’s episode.

Michonne rides in on her horse and mentions she wants to search around Macon, with Daryl stating it might not be a good idea because there could be 80 miles of Walkers and whatever else in-between.

Then at the conclusion of the episode we saw Michonne checking out the map pointing to Macon.

Looks as if the TV series might be intermingling with the video game. Actually, it has already done that as Glenn had a role in the game, but eventually goes on to meet up with the characters in the TV series/comic.

Perhaps a few characters from the video game will now crossover into the TV series. How about Lee and Clementine, the main characters?

The game happens to be set in Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead comic book, as well.

Update: Per the comments below, characters from the game could be used as the TV series is separate from the comics and video games.

Check out our review/recap.

“The Walking Dead” airs Sundays at 9pm ET on AMC.
