With Tom Holland cast as Spider-Man and Jon Watts set to direct the reboot, Marvel has begun to fill out the supporting cast.
First in line is Marisa Tomei who will play Aunt May, the adoptive parent to Peter Parker.
Sally FieldĀ previously played Aunt May in theĀ Andrew Garfield AmazingĀ Spider-Man movies, andĀ Rosemary Harris was the characterĀ in theĀ SamĀ RaimiĀ films.
THR reports that in addition to Marisa Tomei playing Aunt May in the new Spider-Man movie, Tomei may actually be making her first appearance in Marvelās Captain America: Civil War.
The new Tom Holland Spider-Man will be a younger Peter Parker who is said to be a freshman in high school, so the new Aunt May has been made to be an updated contemporary version of the character.
The new Spider-Man movie is slated for July 28, 2017 release.
Captain America: Civil War hits May 6, 2016.
