Tom Holland Responds To Kirsten Dunst’s Spider-Man Comments (Video)

Back in June saw Kirsten Dunst slam Marvel and Sony for rebooting with Spider-Man: Homecoming.

“We made the best ones, so who cares? I’m like, ‘You make it all you want,’” Dunst said, who played Mary Jane in the Sam Raimi trilogy. “They’re just milking that cow for money. It’s so obvious. You know what I mean?”

Kirsten Dunst also told Variety in May that her Spider-Man is the best.

“I don’t care,” Kirsten Dunst says of the new Spider-Man movies and admits she hasn’t seen any of the Amazing Spider-Man films starring Andrew Garfield. “Everyone likes our Spider-Man. C’mon, am I right or what? Listen, I’d rather be in the first ones than the new ones.”e

Now word of Kirsten Dunst’s remarks have made their way to Tom Holland, and in the following video – credit to Tom Holland who doesn’t get caught up in a flame war – offers:

“You know, she’s entitled to her own opinion and I’m not one to judge at all. I definitely am not doing this movie for the money. I mean, it’s a job that I think anyone would do regardless of what you were getting paid, you know? All I know is I had the greatest time on this movie and I absolutely loved it and, you know, if she doesn’t want to go and see it, I don’t really care. I don’t dislike her in any way for what she said and she’s entitled to her own opinion, so it’s all cool.”

I wonder what Kirsten Dunst thinks of the MJ reveal in Spider-Man: Homecoming?!

Regarding the 2002 Spider-Man movie versus Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man is currently quite a bit head of Homecoming as Spider-Man had a gross of over $403 million in the U.S., while Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently at only $278 million and change.

Can’t hurt to like both.
