With the release of the Captain Marvel Blu-Ray it becomes possibly known that a big Brie Larson scene may have been cut from The Avengers: Endgame involving Vormir, the location of the Soul Stone.
While I believe the Blu-Ray explains the following images as a simple costume test, it could very well be possible the scene was actually a part of The Avengers: Endgame, which filmed before Captain Marvel, but the scene was cut because of the backlash surrounding both Brie Larson and her movie.
The third image does feature Captain Marvel co-director Ryan Fleck, so this could very well be a costume test as the Endgame set was already complete and Vormir has a good outer space background setting.
However, it is known The Avengers: Endgame underwent massive reshoots, with rumors offering different footage featuring Brie Larson was shot for Endgame, and depending on the reception to the Captain Marvel movie, how much of that footage was going to be used in Endgame. The final version that made it into theaters had a limited amount of footage of Brie Larson, so it seems as if the numbers do add up.

Regarding Brie Larson and Captain Marvel being on Vormir, the fan does bring up an interesting question in that a version of The Avengers: Endgame script could have featured both Black Widow and Hawkeye surviving. Possibly as Carol leaves Earth she comes in for the save on Vormir? It is known that an alternate Vormir scene had Hawkeye perishing, so there were at least different ideas being thrown about. I think whatever happened, the final version worked out a lot better, as the least amount of Brie Larson and Captain Marvel in The Avengers: Endgame is the better.
