‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Extended Cut Reveals Global Release Dates

Sony is re-releasing Spider-Man: No Way Home in theaters with an extended cut featuring even more footage and has announced the global release date schedule.

The extended cut is titled the Spider-Man: No Way Home – The More Fun Stuff Version and will be released in the U.S. on September 1 for Labor Day Weekend, with the rest of the world starting on August 31. Check out the official announcement below with the schedule from the movie’s Twitter account.

The original release last year brought in $1.9 billion, so with this extended version, Spider-Man: No Way Home will easily pass the 2 billion dollar mark at the box office.

It’s said the extended version will feature brand new scenes as well as extended scenes from the original movie, with tickets going on sale on August 9. Update: Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 23

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.

Jon Watts directs with the flick starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, with J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Benedict Wong as Wong, with Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, Thomas Haden Church, Rhys Ifans, Angourie Rice, and Tony Revolori.
