Brie Larson Responds To Robert Downey Jr. And The Avengers

With Robert Downey Jr. back in the MCU, the stars are likely lining up for a return in the two new Avengers movies, which could include Brie Larson as Captain Marvel.

Brie Larson recently attended the ceremony celebrating Kevin Feige receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Following the news from Comic-Con, Brie Larson appeared on the Bingeworthy podcast where she touched upon a potential Avengers return.

First she said she didn’t know anything about Robert Downey Jr. playing Doctor Doom.

“I want to be clear. I was just with Kevin [Feige]. It was like that same day,” she explained. “And he was like, ‘Oh yeah, we’re doing a thing at Comic-Con.’ He did not say that at all! Not at all!”

Regarding future appearances in the Avengers movies, Brie Larson was asked if her team from The Marvels could appear in the films.

“I just loved being with those ladies so much,” responded Larson. “And I think that the sentiment of it is so right to me and is much more where I’m at in my life, which is, there’s no one superhero that can save us. It takes all kinds of people that have their own special skill sets and the ability to understand that the brink of disaster cannot be stopped by one. It’s all of us coming together. So that feels really right to me.”

Larson did tease a future for Captain Marvel in the MCU.

“And you know, as for the future, there’s things that I know, but I can’t tell you,” she said.

When Brie Larson was asked if the things she couldn’t talk about are Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, she refused to give specific details.

“I can’t say anything, and I can’t even say that I don’t know anything because that might mean that there’s something to say or not say,” she said coyly. “So I’ll just say that I can’t say.”
