Alleged Avengers: Doomsday images have surfaced on X, showing what look like makeup tests, costume designs, and behind-the-scenes shots tied to the upcoming MCU crossover film.
Nothing is confirmed, but the photos are detailed enough that fans are treating them as potential early looks at the movie.
However, at the same time, some fans think they are fake and created using AI, and the X user responded to the backlash saying: “Like I said before, if you reach out to me with proof, I’ll delete what I’ve shared and tell people you’re legit. Until then, I’m just sharing what people send, and people can take it all with a grain of salt.”

Battle-Damaged Heroes and Villains
Several images show actors in heavy makeup with fresh wounds, scars, and bruising, including Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man and Channing Tatum as Gambit. The pictures include close-ups of bloodied faces, torn skin effects, and practical prosthetics.
One figure appears in blue-screen environments wearing a hooded green outfit with deep facial scarring, which is Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom. Another set shows Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.

The images are inconsistent in quality, but assuming they are legit, appear to come from a professional makeup environment, complete with studio lighting and application tools. The work looks gritty, textured, and closer to practical effects than digital edits.

Full Costume Teases
A handful of images show what look like full costume renders or suits being tested for screen. Images include Chris Evans who appears to be Nomad, Lewis Pullman is shown as The Sentry, and Sebastian Stan is shown as the Winter Soldier.
X-Men assemble
Images also feature the X-Men, including Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier, in what is reportedly his final acting role. Mystique is there, Cyclops, and a potential storyboard of the X-Men team.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to release in theaters on December 18, 2026, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, followed by Secret Wars, which is set to release on December 17, 2027.
