Peacemaker Finally Charts On Nielsen — And It’s In The Gutter

Peacemaker has finally made the Nielsen streaming charts, but not in a way James Gunn is likely to celebrate.

Peacemaker Barely Scrapes Onto the Chart

It took the entire Season 2 release, plus Nielsen counting all available episodes (including Season 1), for Peacemaker to show up on the charts at all.

For the week the Season 2 finale dropped (Oct. 6–12), Peacemaker landed on Nielsen’s Originals chart in the #10 spot with 398 million minutes viewed.

That’s the lowest position on the chart.

A Weak Week Helped Peacemaker Slip In

It also needs to be pointed out: in any other week this season, Peacemaker wouldn’t have charted at all. The only reason it made the list is because other shows that week had low viewing minutes (Gen V fell off the charts), leaving an opening at the bottom.

Compare this to stronger weeks throughout the year where the #10 slot easily cleared 400–500 million minutes. Under normal conditions, Peacemaker would still be invisible.

Follows Season 2’s Declining Viewership

The late Nielsen appearance lines up with the viewership problems already reported:

And none of the Season 2 episodes made the Nielsen charts during their respective weeks — even with the push Gunn tried to create by positioning the season as a “sequel” to Superman.

Gunn Already Confirmed No Season 3

James Gunn recently confirmed Peacemaker isn’t getting a third season, and the Nielsen numbers won’t help the narrative.

The show simply didn’t maintain interest, even with the multiverse twist and DCU tie-ins meant to build momentum.

With Superman underperforming and Peacemaker struggling to find an audience, questions around Gunn’s DCU direction continue to grow. Creature Commandos also never charted on Nielsen.
