Ray Fisher Marks Justice League Anniversary With Instagram Return

Ray Fisher Marks Justice League Anniversary With Instagram Return

Ray Fisher is also celebrating the five-year anniversary of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and his new Instagram message stands out for more than one reason.

Fisher returned to Instagram with a post centered on Justice League, sharing an image of Cyborg and thanking the fans who helped make Zack Snyder’s version of the movie a reality.

In the caption, Fisher wrote that fans “turned an impossibility into reality” and called the anniversary “your film” and “your day.”

Ray Porter, who played Darkseid in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, also showed support in the comments.

Fisher’s post reads like a direct tribute to the Snyder Cut fan movement, just like Zack’s message.

Fisher thanked fans for fighting to help “right some serious wrongs” and told them, “This is your film. This is your day.” That lines up closely with Zack Snyder’s own anniversary message, which also put the spotlight on the fans who pushed for the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

“5 years ago, you all turned an impossibility into reality. You fought to help right some serious wrongs—and you won! This is your film. This is your day. Thank you forever. Happy Anniversary,” Fisher wrote, using the #BorgLife hashtag.

The Instagram return is what makes the post stand out even more.

Fisher has kept a low profile on the platform, so using Instagram again for a Justice League anniversary message gives the post added meaning, especially for Snyder fans still tracking all of the cast reactions tied to the film’s legacy.

Back in December, Zack also shared an image of Fisher as Victor Stone.

Zack Snyder Brings Ray Fisher’s Cyborg Back To Life In New Image

Why Cyborg still matters to Zack Snyder’s Justice League

Cyborg has long been viewed as one of the most important characters in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

Snyder previously said Ray Fisher’s Cyborg was “the heart” of his version of the movie, which is one of the reasons so many fans responded strongly to what happened in the 2017 theatrical cut.

When Zack Snyder’s Justice League was finally released in 2021, it restored much more of Victor Stone’s story, including his family tragedy, his emotional arc, and his larger role in the plot.

The real version of the movie made it clear Cyborg was never meant to be a background player. He was central to the movie from the beginning.

Another detail that Snyderverse fans will notice is that Ray Porter commented on Fisher’s post.

“You were and are brilliant, my friend,” said Porter.

Porter played Darkseid in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and his appearance in the comments adds to the feeling that the cast and creative circle around Snyder’s version of the film still see this anniversary as something worth recognizing.

Porter also shared the Hallelujah trailer on Wednesday and said, “5 years ago my life changed, passionate fans were heard, and we all went on an adventure. I owe so much to @zacksnyder and I will always be grateful.”

Five years later, Fisher’s message is another reminder that Justice League still means something to the people who fought for it, starred in it, and refused to let it disappear.
