Paramount and Mattel have announced a new multi-year global licensing partnership centered on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, expanding toys, games, and collectibles tied to the long-running franchise.
Under the agreement, Mattel will develop and market a wide range of TMNT products beginning in 2027.
The rollout includes action figures, playsets, vehicles, games, collectibles, role-play items, and accessories, all hitting retailers worldwide.

New Toys Tied To Upcoming TMNT Movies
The deal also aligns directly with Paramount’s upcoming film slate. Mattel will produce new product lines for the animated sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2, scheduled for release in 2027.
In addition, merchandise is planned for a new untitled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live-action/CG hybrid film set for 2028.
What Mattel And Paramount Are Saying
Mattel EVP and Chief Global Brand Officer Roberto Stanichi called TMNT “one of the most successful entertainment franchises in history,” adding that the partnership represents a major step for both companies as the brand continues to evolve for new generations.
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is one of the most successful entertainment franchises in history, and partnering with Paramount on this iconic property marks a significant moment for Mattel and the brand,” said Stanichi. “The enduring power of the Turtles lies in their ability to evolve with each generation, and we are excited to bring these characters to life in new ways.”
Josh Silverman, President of Global Products & Experiences at Paramount, said the Turtles’ legacy has created a deep global connection with fans and that expanding the brand across multiple consumer touchpoints remains a top priority.
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ rich history and timeless legacy have created a powerful connection with audiences around the world,” said Silverman. “Extending the world of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles through so many different touchpoints is something we deeply value as we continue expanding the ways people can interact with and celebrate the world of these beloved brothers. We are pleased to embark on this next chapter with Mattel, whose ability to innovate on a global scale positions us to further grow the brand and engage fans across generations.”

A Franchise With Decades Of History
Created in 1984 by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has grown from an indie comic into a global powerhouse.
The franchise spans comics, TV series, blockbuster films, games, live experiences, and consumer products, generating billions in retail sales over the decades.
Part Of A Larger Paramount Strategy
The announcement also highlights the ongoing relationship between Mattel and Paramount Products & Experiences, which already covers multiple franchises across Paramount’s library.
The deal comes as Paramount continues to operate under the Skydance umbrella, with an increased focus on leveraging major IP across film, TV, and consumer products.
