Channing Tatum is recovering after suffering a serious shoulder injury that required surgical intervention.
The actor shared a series of images on his Instagram and IG Story that revealed the extent of the damage, where he first posted a black-and-white photo from the hospital, dressed in a gown, laying on a hospital bed and resting, presumably after the operation.
“Just another day. Another challenge. This one is gonna be hard. But whatever. Let’s get it in,” he wrote.

Shoulder Surgery and Recovery
Tatum followed up with an image on his Story of an X-ray of a separated shoulder.
The image clearly showed the dislocation between the clavicle and the shoulder joint, an injury often caused by a fall or impact, typically affecting athletes or those engaged in stunt-heavy activities.

How did the injury happen?
A second image captioned “Screwed shoulder. Yay,” shows a post-surgical X-ray featuring a screw placed in the shoulder, suggesting internal fixation to stabilize the joint and promote healing.
While he didn’t share specific details about how the injury occurred, TMZ reports that sources say Tatum injured the shoulder after a fall while skiing at the Sundance Film Festival, where he was attending for films he was promoting.

No Word Yet on Film Project Delays
It’s not yet clear if this injury will delay any of Tatum’s current or upcoming projects.
A shoulder separation — especially one requiring surgical repair — can take weeks to months of recovery, followed by physical therapy.
According to IMDb, Tatum’s upcoming projects include Wingmen, The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy Race, Soundtrack of Silence, Kockroach, Dance Parents, Calamity Hustle, and Bloodlines.
He also returns as Gambit for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday, but is said to have finished shooting his role for the movie.
