Following the Russo Brothers teasing the release of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer starting Thursday, multiple scoopers have begun leaking details about Marvel’s marketing rollout.
The reports include Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Chris Evans returning as Steve Rogers, and Chris Hemsworth back as Thor.

Multiple Trailers, One Character at a Time
As previously speculated, each Avengers: Doomsday trailer is said to focus on one specific character, rather than functioning as a traditional ensemble preview.
The idea appears to be re-establishing core Avengers as the foundation of the film.
So far, three of the four rumored trailers reportedly center on legacy Avengers. That leaves one wildcard.
If Marvel sticks to recent habits, the fourth could feature a female character. Scarlet Witch would be a wild choice. More likely, it ends up being Shuri, assuming there is a fourth trailer. Maybe a member of the X-Men? The full trailer reveal?

Daniel RPK Claims Steve Rogers Leads the Film
The latest details come from Daniel RPK, who once again complained about Marvel returning to legacy characters instead of pushing newer ones. That argument ignores the reality that Kevin Feige’s post-Endgame push toward new leads largely failed.
According to RPK, Marvel is deliberately shifting back to what worked.

First Trailer Focused on Steve Rogers
Daniel RPK claims the first trailer confirms Steve Rogers’ return and establishes him as the lead of Avengers: Doomsday:
“Ok, so since Marvel is revealing it themselves, I can also tell you that the first teaser is Steve Rogers–focused and his return is confirmed. The reason is to establish him as the lead character in Avengers Doomsday.”

Steve Rogers Teaser Details
MyTimeToShine on X adds further detail, claiming the trailer shows Steve Rogers riding home on a motorcycle. He reportedly has a baby boy.
The teaser ends with a tagline reading “Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday”, followed by “December 2026” and a countdown.

Doctor Doom Trailer
It’s now being claimed that Doctor Doom was originally meant to be the first trailer, but that Marvel changed the order. If accurate, Doom’s teaser is now expected to be the third release:
Oh interesting, so they switched the order. Doom was supposed to go first. Okay, no reason for me to hide it then, or people would think I was BSing. The four “trailers” aren’t really trailers they’re four short scenes, each focusing on a different character. The one with Steve was originally supposed to be the third, but it looks like it’s going to be the first now. It shows Steve riding home on a bike. He has a baby boy. There’s a tagline that reads “Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday” followed by “December 2026” and then a countdown.

Thor trailer
Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is assumed to be the second trailer:
Since they changed the order, I’m ASSUMING Thor will be the second one now.

Weekly Rollout Begins With Avatar
The Avengers: Doomsday trailers are expected to roll out one per week, beginning Thursday, each attached to theatrical screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash.
