Disney is teaming with WEBTOON Entertainment to bring comics from Disney, Marvel, 20th Century Studios, and Star Wars to WEBTOON’s vertical-scroll format. The multi-year collaboration will reformat about 100 titles for mobile reading and feature them in a dedicated section of the English-language app.
Alongside classic runs and graphic novels, new original webcomic series are in development. These will create fresh stories for existing characters across superhero, sci-fi, and adventure genres, optimized for mobile audiences.
Launch Titles
At launch, WEBTOON users can read:
- Amazing Spider-Man (2022–present)
- Avengers (2012)
- Star Wars (2015)
- Alien (2021)
- Disney As Old As Time: A Twisted Tale
A selection of episodes will be free at launch, with later chapters available via WEBTOON Coins.
New Original Series Coming
WEBTOON and Disney are developing original comics for Marvel, Star Wars, and other Disney brands. These projects aim to expand existing storylines while offering new entry points for mobile-first readers.
