Things have been a little slow on the Helldivers 2 front, but Arrowhead teases an upcoming major update. Also — Dragon Terminids?!
New Warbond, update coming soon
The last Warbond update was over a month ago on March 20th with the Borderline Justice Warbond. While things have been a little quiet, Helldivers 2 is about to pick up.
The official social media account posted info that the next Warbond announcement will be coming on May 8. The account also teased that big news will follow:
Greetings, Helldivers! A quick update from us. We know it’s been a while since our last update, fear not—we are cooking! You may have noticed that the gap between our major updates and Warbond releases is a little longer this time. But we’re happy to say we’ll be announcing our next Warbond on May 8, and there will be more exciting news to come not long after. We won’t stand on ceremony too much in revealing what that Warbond might be, but you’ll hear more from us soon. Until then: stand up straight, polish those boots and keep that uniform in tip-top condition, Helldivers. You’ll be needing them for the fight to come. Arrowhead

Dragon Terminids?!
Consider this unverified, but footage is showing up on social media of what appears to be a big ass flying Terminid, possibly a Dragon Terminid or a Flying Bile Titan.
The footage shows some sort of large winged creature when extracting from Terminid-infested planets. We can theorize the new flying Terminid could be a result of the gloom.

New Major Order: Luminates Disappear
While we wait for news to drop next week, a new major order has been issued following the Luminates disappearance:
MAJOR ORDER: The Meridian Singularity has come to a halt. The Illuminate have disappeared completely; Ministry of Defense analysts have concluded this is likely explained by too few remaining to present a significant threat. The enemy is likely attempting to evade detection in order to survive a second total annihilation. They will be found and destroyed. However, though one enemy is all but annihilated, the Terminids and Automatons remain significant threats. In the Illuminate’s final hours, they dealt significant damage to the defenses of multiple strategic sites across both battlefronts, granting the opportunity for our foes to capture formerly well-defended territory. The Helldivers are called to the defense of these planets as our enemies surge to invade them. Helldivers are advised to expect increased enemy resistance, especially from specialized units.
Orders include holding strategic planets whose defenses were weakened by the now-defeated Illuminate, which includes Fenrir III, Mastia, Turning, Claorell, and Achernar Secundus.
