Saturn Awards Winners Include Dune: Part Two, Deadpool & Wolverine

The 52nd Saturn Awards took place on February 2, 2025, at the Hilton Universal City Hotel, celebrating achievements in science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Hosted by Joel McHale for the third consecutive year, the event brought together Hollywood stars to recognize the best in genre entertainment. Fans watched live on The Roku Channel and ElectricNOW. The list of winners can be found below.

Special Honors and Legacy Awards

William Shatner received the Saturn’s Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by his son-in-law, Joel Gretsch. Laurence Fishburne was honored with the Lance Reddick Legacy Award, presented by LeVar Burton. Hiroyuki Sanada, star of the Disney series Shōgun, was given The Robert Forster Artist’s Award by Jonathan Nolan.

In recognition of Back to the Future’s 40th anniversary, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, and writer-producer Bob Gale accepted The George Pal Memorial Award, presented by comedians Dana Gould and Bobcat Goldthwait.

The Amazon series Fallout was awarded The Spotlight Award, with Ron Perlman presenting the honor to the cast and creators. Superman & Lois received the Dan Curtis Legacy Award, presented by George Newbern to Tyler Hoechlin and showrunners Brent Fletcher and Todd Helbing.

Star-Studded Attendance

The event saw appearances from Colin Farrell, Denis Villeneuve, Nicolas Cage, Mark Hamill, Juliette Lewis, Antony Starr, Peter Weller, and Nancy Allen. Many attended to present and accept Saturn Awards while also supporting the genre-focused community.

Dedication to Wildfire Relief Efforts

This year’s show was dedicated to those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires, with special recognition given to firefighters and emergency responders. The Academy used the event’s platform to share donation and relief effort information with viewers and attendees.

The Saturn Awards continue to highlight genre films and television, ensuring that science fiction, fantasy, and horror receive the recognition they deserve in Hollywood.
