Just in time for Hugh Jackman’s birthday, Deadpool & Wolverine has achieved another major milestone, breaking into the top twenty movies of all time at the worldwide box office, again surpassing Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Including estimates for this weekend, Deadpool & Wolverine passes The Last Jedi with a $1,334.5 billion worldwide gross at the box office. The flick passed The Last Jedi domestically last month. On the overall domestic charts, it’s also right behind Barbie with $635.2M.
As we recently went over, the flick passed The Avengers on the highest-grossing MCU domestic charts where it’s now at #5. Deadpool & Wolverine is also at #7 on the MCU worldwide charts right behind Black Panther. See the charts below.
Deadpool & Wolverine is also crushing the digital market and is the #1 R-rated movie, passing John Wick 4.
Hugh Jackman turned 56 years young on Saturday. Rumors offer Kevin Feige wants to keep Jackman playing Wolverine in the MCU as long as possible and into Avengers: Secret Wars which gets released in 2027. Insiders have filled us in that Henry Cavill is in talks to take over the role.
