And that’s a wrap on James Gunn’s Superman movie.
Gunn made the announcement he has finished filming on social media which includes a new behind-the-scenes images which also features David Corenswet, who plays the new Man of Steel, and Nicholas Hoult who plays Lex Luthor.
“God bless our cast and crew whose commitment, creativity, and hard work have brought this project to life, said Gunn. “I set out to make a movie about a good man in a world that isn’t always so much. And the goodness and kindness and love I’ve encountered on a daily basis on the set has inspired me and thrust me forward when I felt too spent to move on my own.”
Gunn added, “Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It has been an honor. The destination has been Superman, but the journey has been the toil and the laughter and the emotions and ideas and magic we’ve shared together on set – and for that I am forever grateful. While Gunn didn’t promote Superman at this past weekend’s Comic-Con, he did show up in a video and released the new DC Studios logo as well as the Creature Commandos trailer.
I’ve also been told by DC insiders the Superman trailer is coming soon and that the movie is solid.
Superman flies into theaters on July 11, 2025 also starring Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. Set pics have also shown off Ed Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner.
