It’s learned that Simon Kinberg, the writer, producer and director on the Fox Studios X-Men movies, is writing a Star Wars movie for Disney.
Simon Kinberg is no stranger to Star Wars as he helped create the Star Wars Rebels animated series, which has its season finale on Monday.
Not much is known about the Simon Kinberg Star Wars project (Boba Fett?) other than Deadline reporting about Kinberg directing a Logan Run‘s flick where it’s mentioned: “He is currently writing a forthcoming Star Wars movie.”
Simon Kinberg was actually attached to develop Star Wars movies back in 2012 with it thought he was going to write Episode VIII or Episode IX with Lawrence Kasdan.
Kinberg is known for writing the Fox Studios X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse movies, and he wrote and directed the upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix movie.
Star Wars movies currently in the works include Han Solo this May; Star Wars: Episode IX gets released December 2019; a Stephen Daldry Obi-Wan Kenobi movie; Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson is developing a new Star Wars trilogy; Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss Series are developing a new Star Wars movie set outside the original Trilogies and Johnson’s own trilogy; numerous Star Wars movies are in development for the new Disney streaming network, and a Yoda movie might be happening.
