Wonder Woman 2 was first announced at Comic-Con, and now the release date is set!
Wonder Woman 2 will be released December 13, 2019 and includes IMAX screenings.
It’s reported talks with Patty Jenkins are underway and that she is not officially announced as director on Wonder Woman 2 as of yet. The script is being worked on by Geoff Johns with Patty Jenkins’ involvement.
The December 13, 2019 release date for Wonder Woman 2 sees it currently holding the date by its lonesome; the He-Man Masters of the Universe movie has a December 18th release date, with Disney’s Wicked Witch of the West movie dropping on December 20th.
Gal Gadot next stars as Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder’s Justice League this November.
Rumors for Wonder Woman 2 include that it may be another period piece, this time set in the 80s with Wonder Woman vs Russia and Cheetah.
Wonder Woman is currently the #1 movie at the box office with a U.S. gross of near $380 million. The film’s worldwide gross is over $780 million.
“Wonder Woman” also stars Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner, and Saïd Taghmaoui .
