This weekend looks to be the last time you will get a chance to see the hit new horror movie in theaters with The Witch as distributor A24 is re-releasing the movie.
Watch a new Red-Band (mature) trailer they put out for the re-release above.
By all accounts, The Witch is a pretty good movie and rather scary, so a theater-viewing experience certainly looks the way to go.
The Witch does have a whopping 90% critic approval on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Witch is directed by Robert Eggers starring Anya Taylor-Joy (Atlantis, Viking Quest), Ralph Ineson (Harry Potter, Kingsman, Guardians of the Galaxy), Kate Dickie (Game of Thrones, Prometheus), Julian Richings (Man of Steel, Hannibal) and Ron G. Young (Black Mass).
Synopsis:
New England, 1630: William and Katherine lead a devout Christian life, homesteading on the edge of an impassible wilderness, with five children. When their newborn son mysteriously vanishes and their crops fail, the family begins to turn on one another. ‘The Witch’ is a chilling portrait of a family unraveling within their own fears and anxieties, leaving them prey for an inescapable evil.
