Disney & Jared Leto's 'Tron: Ares' Bombs At Box Office: Covid Blamed

Yesterday saw five names surface to potentially play the new Spider-Man with 20-year-old Nat Wolff listed amongst them.

Now the Kingpin himself, Vincent D’Onofrio, has declared that Wolff should play Spider-Man.

Wolff and D’Onofrio appear together in the upcoming film, In Dubious Battle, which also stars James Franco, Bryan Cranston, Selena Gomez, Josh Hutcherson and Ed Harris.

“Joe … Nat Wolff would be my choice for spidey! Check him out. @natandalex brilliant young actor,” Daredevil‘s Wilson Fisk tweeted to Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada.

“NAT WOLFF @natandalex should be SPIDEY,” D’Onofrio tweeted a second time. “Marvel knows best though they are batting 1000. I think Nat is perfect.”

The four other actors said to be up for Spider-Man are: Asa Butterfield, Tom Holland, Timothee Chalamet and Liam James.

The new Spider-Man will debut in a Marvel movie prior to the new standalone Spidey movie from Sony in 2017.

Marvel has also recently announced a Daredevil Season 2.
