Watch: Grant Gustin Flash Vs. 90’s John Wesley Shipp Flash

Watch The Flash vs. The Flash!

Hey, anything is possible with The Flash!

Check out a super cool video above featuring footage from the current Grant Gustin TV series mashed with the footage from the ’90s John Wesley Shipp series.

New York Magazine put together the footage:

Back in the 1990s, there was a failed TV show about DC Comics superhero The Flash. Nowadays, there’s a hit one. We imagine a cross-dimensional tussle in which one Barry Allen tries to get the upper hand against the other.

John Wesley Shipp is currently playing the father to Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen, maybe there is some truth to the above video (spoilers?!)?

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8pm ET on the CW.

Major Character Getting Killed Off In The Flash

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23977:]]

Spoilers(?) follow for The Flash?

Robbie Amell is returning to The Flash, but not as Firestorm, he’s playing Deathstorm!

And true to his character, Robbie Amell has now let it be known Deathstorm will be killing off a major character in the series.

While attending this weekend’s Heroes and Villains Fan Fest, Amell dropped the following bomb:

“In episode 13, so in a couple weeks, you’ll see me as Deathstorm, and Caitlin as Killer Frost. So I get to come back, and I kill a series regular. So there’s that, I’m probably going to get in trouble for saying that.”

It’s unknown who could be getting killed off, or even if the death will stick as the episode takes place in Earth-2. Could Deathstorm be killing off an Earth-2 version of a series regular? Or is this the end of another series regular (Eddie Thawne died last season)?

Episode 13, “Welcome To Earth-2,” airs February 9th.

“The Flash” airs on the CW Tuesdays at 8pm ET starring Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh and Jesse L. Martin.

Watch: The Night Manager Trailer; Stars Tom Hiddleston & Hugh Laurie

Watch the trailer for the new six-part mini-series The Night Manager, which stars Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie.

The series is described as: A hotel night manager is recruited by a government agent to infiltrate the trusted inner circle of a ruthless arms dealer.

Look for The Night Manager in April on AMC.

Info:

A contemporary interpretation of le Carré’s espionage drama – and the first television adaptation of a le Carré novel in more than 20 years – The Night Manager mini-series will bring together love, loss and revenge in a complex story of modern criminality. The eagerly anticipated series follows former British soldier Jonathan Pine (Hiddleston) as he navigates the shadowy recesses of Whitehall and Washington where an unholy alliance operates between the intelligence community and the secret arms trade. To infiltrate the inner circle of lethal arms dealer Richard Onslow Roper (Laurie), Pine must himself become a criminal.

Published in 1993, The Night Manager is one of le Carré’s most beloved and critically acclaimed books. A fusion of spy story and tale of organized crime, the novel was a best-seller in the United States and the UK, translated into over 20 languages and selling over a million copies in North America alone.

The Night Manager will be produced by The Ink Factory (A Most Wanted Man) for broadcast on BBC One and AMC in 2016. Executive producers are Stephen Cornwell and Simon Cornwell for The Ink Factory; and Stephen Garrett, David Farr, and Polly Hill for the BBC. The series was commissioned for BBC One by Charlotte Moore and Ben Stephenson; and Joel Stillerman, Marci Wiseman and Kristin Jones for AMC. The Night Manager is adapted by David Farr (Hanna, Spooks) from John le Carré’s original novel. Rob Bullock (The Suspicions of Mr Whicher, Chasing Shadows) will produce for The Ink Factory.

Steven Moffat Leaving Doctor Who

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23967:]]

The BBC has announced Steven Moffat is leaving Doctor Who following the Spring of 2017.

Broadchurch writer Chris Chibnall will replace Moffat as the new showrunner.

Moffat took over the reins on Doctor Who in 2010 with Series 5.

Official announcement can be read below.

BBC announces Steven Moffat’s next series of Doctor Who will be his last and confirms Chris Chibnall as new Head Writer and Executive Producer

After six incredible series at the helm, the multi-award-winning Steven Moffat has decided to step down as the lead writer and executive producer of Doctor Who. Steven took over the reins on Series 5 in 2010 and during his tenure the show has become a truly global success. He has been responsible for introducing the Eleventh and the Twelfth Doctors in Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi; as well as two companions Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) and iconic characters and monsters including River Song (Alex Kingston), Missy (Michelle Gomez), Rory Pond (Arthur Darvill) and the terrifying Weeping Angels. Plus, the smash hit 50th Anniversary special in 2013 which saw fans around the world celebrate the world’s longest-running sci-fi series with the Doctors Matt Smith, David Tennant and John Hurt battling the deadly Daleks in a feature-length episode. Steven’s final series will air on BBC One in spring 2017 and there will be a Christmas Special in 2016.

Steven Moffat says: “Feels odd to be talking about leaving when I’m just starting work on the scripts for season 10, but the fact is my timey-wimey is running out. While Chris is doing his last run of Broadchurch, I’ll be finishing up on the best job in the universe and keeping the TARDIS warm for him. It took a lot of gin and tonic to talk him into this, but I am beyond delighted that one of the true stars of British Television drama will be taking the Time Lord even further into the future. At the start of season 11, Chris Chibnall will become the new showrunner of Doctor Who. And I will be thrown in a skip.”

Like Steven, Chris Chibnall is also a lifelong Doctor Who fan and a multi-award-winning writer and executive producer. He has most recently achieved huge success with the triple-BAFTA-winning hit ITV series Broadchurch. His other credits include BAFTA-nominated The Great Train Robbery, United, Law & Order: UK, Life On Mars and Torchwood. Chris Chibnall’s debut series will launch in 2018.

Chris Chibnall, new Head Writer and Executive Producer, says: “Doctor Who is the ultimate BBC programme: bold, unique, vastly entertaining, and adored all around the world. So it’s a privilege and a joy to be the next curator of this funny, scary and emotional family drama. I’ve loved Doctor Who since I was four years old, and I’m relishing the thought of working with the exceptional team at BBC Wales to create new characters, creatures and worlds for the Doctor to explore. Steven’s achieved the impossible by continually expanding Doctor Who’s creative ambition, while growing its global popularity. He’s been a dazzling and daring showrunner, and hearing his plans and stories for 2017, it’s clear he’ll be going out with a bang. Just to make my life difficult.”

Charlotte Moore, Controller of BBC One, says: “I want to thank Steven Moffat for everything he has given Doctor Who – I’ve loved working with him, he is an absolute genius and has brought fans all over the world such joy. I will be very sad to see him leave the show, but I can’t wait to see what he will deliver in his last ever series next year with a brand new companion. I have decided to schedule Steven’s big finale series in spring 2017 to bring the nation together for what will be a huge event on the channel. 2016 is spoilt with national moments including the Euros and Olympics and I want to hold something big back for 2017 – I promise it will be worth the wait! I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Chris Chibnall, a wonderfully talented writer who I know will bring something very special to the hit series.”

Polly Hill, Controller of BBC Drama Commissioning, says: “Like Charlotte, I would like to thank Steven for his brilliance, which has made Doctor Who a global hit under his tenure. Chris Chibnall is the perfect successor to take over the reins of this incredible show, so I am delighted that his love for Doctor Who has made it impossible for him to resist! Chris is an incredible writer and his vision and passion for Doctor Who gives it an exciting future and promises to be a real treat for Doctor Who fans across the world.”
