NBC Cancels Heroes Reborn

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23799:]]

Following the return of Heroes Reborn, it’s learned the series won’t continue on for a second season and has been cancelled.

“As far as I know there are no more incarnations of Heroes coming,” NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt told reporters Wednesday at the Television Critics Assoc. winter press tour, reports TV Line, adding that it was “always the plan” to do just one season “unless [series creator] Tim [Kring] woke up one day and said, ‘Oh, I have another chapter to tell.’”

Greenblatt then continued by teasing: “I think we’re coming to the end… of the world, maybe. Stay tuned.”

Heroes Reborn has two episodes remaining, one airing tonight and the last episode the following week, January 21st, with the title of the final episode called “Project Reborn.” Watch a promo below.

The series started off with over 6 million viewers, but has since dipped to around 3.7 million and a 1.0 rating.
