New Star Wars Trilogy In The Works From Simon Kinberg

New Star Wars Trilogy In The Works From Simon Kinberg

It’s reported that a new Star Wars trilogy is in the works from Simon Kinberg.

Details via Deadline offer it will be Episodes X, X1, and XII. However, what is unclear if it will continue the Skywalker Saga or follow a new story.

Deadline is saying it will be a continuation, however, according to the site’s insiders, the insiders are stating Kinberg will not continue the Skywalker storyline, but will instead begin a new saga.

The insiders are also saying the new Kingberg Star Wars movies will sit alongsideĀ Star Wars projects that are in development from James Mangold, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Taika Waititi and Donald Glover.Ā

I’d argue what the insiders are saying isn’t totally true. I’ve been told the Taika Waititi Star Wars isn’t happening. We can also add the Daisy Ridley Star Wars movie recently lost its writer, and Ridley recently signed on to a new movie that is not Star Wars.

If I had to guess, I would guess the James Mangold Star Wars movie could happen out of any of the above mentioned.

Simon Kinberg previously worked with Disney and Lucasfilm on the Star Wars: Rebels animated series. He also consulted on Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Kinberg is said to be writing and producing the new Star Wars Trilogy.

Simon Kinberg also produced the Deadpool movies and executive produced Deadpool & Wolverine. He also wrote X-Men: Days of Future Past, Fantastic Four, and more.
