Marvel: Endgame is back in Fortnite OG, bringing Thanos and the Chitauri back into the fight for a limited run through April 16.
Epic and the official Fortnite account confirmed the mode is now live, with players once again able to jump into the classic Marvel-themed chaos.
Thanos and the Chitauri are back
The returning Marvel: Endgame LTM is a 16v16 mode in Fortnite OG Season 8.
One side fights as Thanos and the Chitauri while trying to gather all six Infinity Stones.
The other side takes control of the heroes and uses Avengers gear to stop Thanos before the Infinity Gauntlet is completed.
Epic confirms new loot and classic Marvel action
Epic also said the mode is coming back “rebalanced” and with new loot pool additions.
The official Fortnite account posted, “It’s time to take on Thanos and the Chitauri in the Endgame LTM, live now!” which helped confirm the April 3 launch.
Free rewards available until April 16
Players can also unlock free rewards tied to the mode.
Epic says the returning Endgame event includes challenges with items up for grabs such as banners, sprays, and the Avengers Quinjet Glider.
The event is only available until April 16, so fans do not have much time to jump in.
A fan-favorite Fortnite Marvel mode returns
The original Fortnite Endgame crossover became one of the game’s most memorable limited-time events, so bringing it back to OG is a pretty easy win for Marvel and Fortnite fans.
Between the Avengers items, Infinity Stones, Thanos, and the Chitauri invasion, this is about as close as Fortnite gets to reliving the Endgame event all over again.
This last point is an inference based on the event’s design and Epic’s revival of the mode, rather than a direct official statement.
