Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters is heading back to theaters for another round — this time, just in time for Halloween.
The streamer announced that the animated hit will return for Halloween-themed sing-along screenings from October 31 through November 2, encouraging fans to show up in costume.
For the US and Canada, tickets go on sale Oct. 17 at 6 a.m. PT.

Netflix’s Biggest Hit Expands to AMC Theatres
The Halloween event marks a milestone for Netflix. For the first time, all three major U.S. theater chains — AMC, Regal, and Cinemark — will participate.
AMC Theatres, which skipped the August screenings due to the companies’ long-standing disagreement over theatrical windows, will now show the film in roughly 400 theaters across the U.S. and Europe.
AMC called the collaboration with Netflix a “mutually beneficial opportunity,” adding that both sides are exploring future partnerships. It’s a significant step for Netflix, which rarely re-releases its titles in theaters, and for exhibitors looking for a reliable draw during a slow fall season.

Global Rollout and Box Office Boost
The Halloween sing-along will also play internationally, including in the U.K., Ireland, Korea, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, and New Zealand.
The first theatrical event in late August surprised everyone by topping the box office with an estimated $18 million over its two-day run — Netflix’s first-ever No. 1 finish.
With little competition this Halloween besides Bugonia and a Twilight re-release, theaters are hoping for another strong turnout from fans eager to belt out “Golden,” “Your Idol,” and “Soda Pop.”

From Streaming Sensation to Cultural Phenomenon
KPop Demon Hunters has become Netflix’s most-watched film ever, racking up more than 541 million viewing hours worldwide. Produced by Sony Pictures Animation and directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, the film follows pop stars Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo) — a K-pop trio secretly moonlighting as demon hunters.
The movie’s mix of music, fantasy, and emotional storytelling turned it into a global hit, with three songs dominating the Billboard Hot 100 for weeks.
A sequel is currently in development, with Kang and Appelhans expected to return.
Halloween Event Ties Into Growing Franchise
Netflix’s Halloween sing-along is as much about fan engagement as it is about promotion. The screenings are expected to drive renewed interest in both the soundtrack and the upcoming sequel, while offering another theatrical test for Netflix and AMC’s partnership.
For fans, it’s a rare chance to relive KPop Demon Hunters on the big screen — costumes, choreography, and all.
