Vincent D’Onofrio is set to return as Wilson Fisk for Daredevil Season 3, and now the actor takes to social media to tease the return of Kingpin.
“WILSON,” Vincent D’Onofrio posted in all caps on Twitter with the following image of Kingpin.
Marvel TV and Netflix first annnounced the return of Vincent D’Onofrio for Daredevil Season 3 back in October of last year, which seems him returning with Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) and newcomer Joanne Whalley as Sister Maggie, Matt Murdock’s estranged mother.
“Vincent is an exceptional actor who returns with the incredible gravitas he brings to Fisk,” executive producer, Jeph Loeb said in a statement, adding, “we’re very excited how Marvel’s Daredevil develops through the creative lens and guidance of our new showrunner, Erik Oleson.”
Not much is known about Daredevil Season 3 or how Kingpin will factor in the season, but it’s said to be influenced by Frank Miller’s classic “Born Again” storyline from the ’80s and Kevin Smith’s popular ’90s storyline, “Guardian Devil,” which sees Wilson Fisk discover the identity of the Man Without Fear and feature a massive battle with Bullseye. It’s speculated that Wilson Bethel is playing Bullseye for the Netflix series.
Daredevil Season 3 will premiere later this year also featuring Jay Ali as Rahul “Ray” Nadeem.
Seasons 1 and 2 are now on Netflix.
