Spoilers follow for Batman Vs. Superman
Let’s see: Zack Snyder turned Superman into a killing machine, destroyed Metropolis, had Pa Kent commit suicide, killed Jimmy Olsen, killed Mercy Graves, killed Lex Sr., turned Jr. into a Mark Zuckerburg on Prozac, put Jr. in jail, closed LexCorp, killed Superman and Clark Kent, and did whatever he did with Doomsday. Am I missing anything?
So are the chances good for a return of Jesse Eisenberg in the near future as Lex Luthor? In Justice League? Not looking likely.
“I don’t know if they are so settled on where my character goes,” Eisenberg said about Luthor showing up in future movies. “I only hope I have another opportunity to work with these wonderful people and play this interesting character.”
Eisenberg does offer he does think about Lex potentially showing up down the road.
“The character has so many different faces,” Eisenberg said. “He has a public persona that appears charming and friendly and then a deeply disturbed private persona, so it will be interesting to see where he goes.”
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is directed by Zack Snyder starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter as Senator Finch and Tao Okamoto as Mercy Graves.
