With the Batman movie currently in need of a director following Ben Affleck's departure, just who should sit in the director's chair?
Currenty rumors have stated Matt Reeves, Matt Ross, George Miller, Gavin O’Connor and Denis Villeneuve are potential candidates to direct Batman.
Now Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn weighs in on his own choice.
A fan asked James Gunn on Facebook who would be his number one choice to replace Ben Affleck as director on Batman.
James Gunn replied, "If Jeremy Saulnier was interested he would be a good choice."
Jeremy Saulnier is known for directing the Green Room, the neo-nazi movie starring Patrick Stewart and Anton Yelchin, and Blue Ruin.
Ben Affleck recently released this statement regarding departing from directing Batman:
“There are certain characters who hold a special place in the hearts of millions. Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require. Together with the studio, I have decided to find a partner in a director who will collaborate with me on this massive film. I am still in this, and we are making it, but we are currently looking for a director. I remain extremely committed to this project, and look forward to bringing this to life for fans around the world.”
