Have no fear, the upcoming It movie has the approval of Stephen King.

It producer Seth Grahame-Smith took to Instagram to share a message from Stephen King about the film:

Steve asked me to pass along that he saw a screening of IT today and wanted to let everybody know that they should stop worrying about it as the producers have done a wonderful job with the production.

A lot of fans were pretty happy with the It TV mini-series, and by the sounds of things they may have been worried about the new film, so let’s hope Stephen King is right.

It has a September 8, 2017 release directed by Andrés Muschietti (“Mama”) starring Bill Skarsgard as Pennwise the Clown, Finn Wolfhard, Owen Teague, Jaeden Lieberher, Nicholas Hamilton, Steven Williams, Megan Charpentier, Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Stephen Bogaert, Ari Cohen, Jack Grazer, Chosen Jacobs and Javier Botet.

It is described as: When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.
