Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji Release Date Pushed Back

The Dwayne Johnson Jumanji movie has seen its release date pushed back.

Originally the Jumanji sequel was going to be released July 2017, but now Dwayne Johnson has announced a December 2017 release date.

Dwayne Johnson took to his Instagram account to share the news about the new Jumanji release date:

“Right down Dwanta Claus lane..” Excited to share this great news: CHRISTMAS of 2017 comes early for our #JUMANJI SEQUEL. We were always slated to be released summer of 2017, but after months of shooting and editing our movie together, we realized we have a big family franchise on our hands, that’s full of Christmas wish fulfillment, fun and heart.

Like so many of us, it’s my FAVORITE time of the year and I LUV delivering holiday entertainment. From MOANA this Thanksgiving, to ROCK THE TROOPS this Christmas, to JUMANJI next Christmas! Jumanji is directed by Jake Kasdan  starring Dwayne Johnson as Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse, Jack Black as Professor Shelly Oberon, Kevin Hart as Moose Finbar, and also Nick Jonas, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Alex Wolff, and Morgan Turner.
