Last week saw the news that Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam is moving forward with writer Adam Sztykiel, and now Dwayne Johnson confirms and comments on Twitter.
“Excited to expand the DC Universe w/ writer Adam Sztykiel (co-wrote @rampagethemovie) and bring this complex & gritty anti-hero to the big screen. This character’s in my bones. Ruthless code,” Johnson posted.

In addition to writing the Rampage movie, Adam Sztykiel is also known for the Undateable TV series, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, We’re the Millers 2 and Spaced Out.
The Black Adam movie has no release date, and Dwayne Johnson won’t be appearing in the upcoming Shazam! movie though it has been said the Dwayne Johnson and the newly cast Zachary Levi will eventually collide down the rode.
Dwayne Johnson is also rumored to appear as Black Adam in Suicide Squad 2, which hits in 2019.
