Death of Avengers Hinted At In Infinity War

The Avengers Infinity War and the untitled Avengers 4 movie not only marks the end of Marvel’s Phase 3, but what looks to be the Avengers as we know them.

It’s possible, if not highly likely, that multiple Avengers characters may die in the films.

JoBlo caught up with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and questioned if The Avengers: Infinity War will be the “final chapter for certain beloved characters?”

Feige answered: “Yes.”

As noted, it’s believed Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. may be finished with their Marvel contracts following The Avengers: Infinity War movies, which may mean both Captain America and Iron Man may die.

Another possibility is that, similar to the Batman and and James Bond route, Marvel replaces Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. with new actors. I think if Marvel does go this route, my guess is that they won’t be replacing the actors right away, but will be putting the characters on a hiatus (so to speak) and will bring back the characters with new actors a while (if not years) later.

I also think it’s possible we could see the last of Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and possibly Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye.

That’s one thing that really bothered me about Captain America: Civil War, in that there were no real ramifications (meaning deaths like the comic book event), but I’m betting this time around for The Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos will be introducing some of the Avengers to his lady partner in crime.

Jim Starlin did confirm that Thanos kicks all kinds of ass!

The Avengers: Infinity War has a May 4, 2018 release.
