DC Universe: Young Justice Season 3, Swamp Thing & More

Warner Bros. officially announces the DC Universe streaming service with Young Justice Season 3, Swamp Thing, Titans, and Harley Quinn.

WB has already been developing Young Justice Season 3 and the live-action Titans series; Harley Quinn has been described as an adult animated series, and the announcement about Swamp Thing is new, which is a TV series being developed by Aquaman director James Wan (full announcement here). Metropolis will also be a part of the streaming network, previously said to be a Superman prequel following Lois Lane and Lex Luthor.

Young Justice Season 3

Young Justice: Outriders has been said to be premiering later this year with 26 episodes (check out leaked images here). The series is described as:

In Young Justice: Outsiders the teenage Super Heroes of the DC Universe come of age in an animated world of super-powers, Super-Villains and super secrets. In the highly anticipated new season, the team faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy. Equally praised by critics and viewers for its impressive visuals and rich storytelling, Young Justice reached more than 25 million unique viewers in each of its two seasons on Cartoon Network. Titans

The live-action Titans is currently filming (set images here) and stars Brenton Thwaites as Robin, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Teagan Croft as Raven, Anna Diop as Starfire, Alan Ritchson as Hawk and Minka Kelly as Dove. The series is described as:

Titans debuts later this year on the upcoming new DC Digital series and follows a group of young soon-to-be super heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. Titans is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

Swamp Thing

Desribed as: When CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-born virus, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland — only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous — and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all. 

Mark Verheiden (Battlestar Galactica) and Gary Dauberman (IT) are writers, with producers including Wan, Mark Verheiden, Gary Dauberman, and Michael Clear.
