Lending credibility to the rumor that Disney and Fox are at odds due to the film rights to the Marvel characters, it's become known that the Fantastic Four comic book is getting cancelled.

Bleeding Cool spotted a Hachette Book Group (Marvel's bookstore distributor) listing that reads:

THE END IS FOUREVER! Witness the closing act on the First Family of the Marvel Universe! THE INVADERS meet the FANTASTIC FOUR as the hunt for REED RICHARDS and the missing kids of the FUTURE FOUNDATION continues. Meanwhile the mastermind behind everything unveils his ultimate plan. But how does FRANKLIN RICHARDS factor in? And how does this all lead to...The END?! Collecting FANTASTIC FOUR #642-644 and the Triple Sized Final Issue 645!

It's been said that Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter is angry with Fox over the film rights and has been putting the kabosh on the Fox-owned Marvel characters that fall under Disney.

For instance, sketch card artists are not allowed to use the Fantastic Four, the characters are not allowed to be used by Mondo posters, and now it is also said no Fantastic Four toys are allowed for the Diamond Select line.

Marvel Comics also cancelled the Ultimate Fantastic Four title.

In addition, the X-Men line is also said to be affected as there was no toy line for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, as Disney apparently still holds the merchandising rights to the characters.

There is also the fact that Marvel Comics is killing off Wolverine.
