With Ben Affleck starring as the new Dark Knight in Batman Vs. Superman, it's been rumored the actor has been signed on for three Batman movies which will also see him direct. The latest issue of Total Film Magazine has a featured article in which Affleck and producer Charles Roven comment on the potential of Affleck taking the gig.
"He's got a busy schedule," Roven said. "He's about to start a movie now [Live By Night]. And he's also got obligations to be in the Justice League movies. The calendar is a little tricky. Of course, the script obviously has to be worthy of him wanting to direct. And once that happens, it's still got to fit into the calendar. We're hoping we can make it happen. We're just at the beginning of the question."
Affleck offered his take: "Look, if I could make it work, yeah. Obviously, it would be like a dream, The trick is, as to any movie, is to make sure that you - if you're going to direct it - that you can make it good. You've got to have the right idea and the right take on it. Broadly speaking, it's something I'd be open to, for sure. It's a very exciting idea."
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has a March 25, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter as Senator Finch and Tao Okamoto as Mercy Graves.
