Chadwick Boseman Says Black Panther Is Unlike Any Other Marvel Movie

The new Black Panther trailer and poster recently dropped (see below!) and while speaking with Total Film Magazine, Chadwick Bosemann offers up that the Black Panther movie is truly unique.

Chadwick Boseman also recently filmed Marshall and is asked about how different being on the set of Marshall is compared to Marvel’s Black Panther.

It’s a much different experience. You’re talking about a big budget film versus a small film. Shooting on location in Buffalo, New York versus a studio movie, where most of it is shot on much, much larger sets. Though we actually had the same wardrobe designer for both movies, Ruth Carter, so you really get to see the scope of the challenge.

I will say that shooting Black Panther was unlike any other movie – Marvel movie, superhero movie – that’s ever been done, just because of the cultural aspect. At some point, it rivaled the culture of Get On Up because of the African influence and music and dance. It was quite a ritual experience, and a rites of passage for a lot of people.
