Woke ‘Doctor Who’ Being Ignored By Russell T Davies Laughs Chris Chibnall

Good news is learned in that when Russell T Davies returns for the Doctor Who 60th Anniversary, he will be ignoring the woke Doctor Who played by Jodie Whittaker and created by Chris Chibnall.

While speaking with Radio Times, showrunner Chris Chibnall actually laughs about it:

“Oh, I fully expect Russell to ignore it!” he laughs.

So by Chinball laughing about it, that tells me Chibnall was well aware of what he was doing with the character but didn’t care, which cost the Doctor Who series dearly, as it has the lowest ratings in its sixty years of history. We also see that he loved doing it, so again, what these people do, is that they love to change and ruin things to push their agenda and get a kick out of doing it:

“I’ve absolutely loved it. It’s such a privilege. Few people have done it and you’re standing in the foot-steps of those people across 60 years now.”

At least Chibnall continues and says that much like a lot of fans’ reactions to the news of Davies returning, people should be happy.

“Everybody should have a big smile on their face,” he says. “Russell is one of the elite showrunners and Who is very lucky to have him, especially off the back of It’s a Sin, one of the greatest shows of all time.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Russell T Davies won’t be going with his own version of a woke Doctor Who as rumors have offered a gay actor might be cast, another female actress or a female POC actress could get the role, so we’ll have to wait and see how things go, but again, the good news is that Chibnall is off the show and it has been rumored Hugh Grant was in talks for the role, but the actor recently shot that down.

Chris Chibnall and Jodie Whittaker still have two episodes left as the “Legend of the Sea Devils” Special airs on Easter Sunday followed by their last time with the Doctor with a second special in the Fall.

Doctor Who: Legend of the Sea Devils is described as: In a swashbuckling special adventure, the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker), Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop) come face to fin with one of the Doctor’s oldest adversaries: the Sea Devils. Why has legendary pirate queen Madam Ching come searching for a lost treasure? What terrifying forces lurk beneath the oceans of the nineteenth century? And did Yaz really have to dress Dan up as a pirate?
