Production on Star Wars Episode IX is nearly complete as Anthony Daniels takes to social media to let it be known C-3PO is done with the movie.
“Today was 3PO’s last on Episode IX. He’s sad – so am I. But we’re so proud to have worked with such a lovely, talented cast & crew lead by J.J. & Kathy. I’ll miss everyone but I’m glad to know that we’ve been making something exceptional together, to share with the waiting world,” Daniels tweeted.
The 72-year-old actor has been a part of Star Wars since the beginning and a part of every movie including Solo: A Star Wars Story as Tak. Anthony Daniels also has voiced C-3PO in various animated series, shorts, and video games.
Star Wars Episode IX gets released Dec. 20 directed by J.J. Abrams starring Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Keri Russell, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, and Billy Dee Williams, with unused footage of Carrie Fisher being used to bring back Leia.
